Visit Glen Grove Equestrian Center!

Glen Grove specializes in hunter/jumper lessons and training for every level.
We offer boarding and horse show opportunities.
Our property is adjacent to miles of forest preserve trails.
Seasonally, we have pony rides for younger children, summer camp, and horsemanship classes.

Following our recent closure due to COVID-19, please SUBSCRIBE to our emails and follow us on Facebook to stay updated.

We are working to schedule lessons for all existing clients and will soon open our calendar for new riders. Add yourself to our email list if you are new to Glen Grove. We do not offer public trail rides.

We are not allowing visitors or anyone without a scheduled appointment at this time.

Pony rides are not currently available and likely will not be open until early Fall.

Summer camp will be running with safety modifications. If you are currently registered and have questions or would like confirmation, send us an email. At this time, there is no additional availability for new campers.

Boarders, please continue to be in touch with Cindy and Paula.

Support the school horses:

Many of our friends have asked how they can help us during this difficult time while we are closed and unable to provide services to our community. Our staff is doing a phenomenal job of taking care of our ponies and at this time we are unable to accept volunteer assistance.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we are gratefully accepting donations to support the ongoing costs of care for our incredible team of school horses.

If you wish to make a contribution, please mail a check with your gift to Glen Grove Equestrian Center at 9453 Harms Rd, Morton Grove, IL 60053. If you would like to use a credit card, please contact us via email at to coordinate.

Stay up to date with our most current status by checking here on our website, following us on Facebook, and subscribing to our emails.

Thank you all for your support and we are wishing good health for each and every one of you.

Riding lessons begin at age seven. When Pony rides are open, children six and under can take a ride on weekends, Spring through Fall, weather permitting. Please give our office a call to check if pony rides are open.

Pony rides are located at the north west corner of our property, right at the corner of Harms and Golf.

$5 per time, advance reservations are not required.

We offer shared or full leases.

Please schedule a lesson so that our trainers can match you with the best horse for you!

Costs will vary based on how much you'd like to ride and the type of horse you're looking for.

We have 90 stalls sized 12' x 12' (heated in winter) or 10' x 10'. Turnout is included in board and typically provided five days per week, weather permitting. We utilize three paddocks and our large outdoor and heated indoor arenas.

Our staff and veterinarians work with boarders to create an appropriate nutrition plan for each horse. We can administer any supplement, wrap legs, hand-walk, or blanket, as needed. We manage appointments with farriers, veterinarians, chiropractor, dentist, etc. Grooming and service packages are available.

Horsemanship classes are individually customized

and scheduled for community groups of all ages and backgrounds. (For example, we welcome many Girl Scout troops.)

Horsemanship classes show a glimpse

of the day-to-day care of our horses, as well as

riding demonstrations, riding lessons, or pony rides.

Registration is now closed for Summer 2020
