if you become aware of any potential exposure to COVID-19 or positive test of rider or a close contact of rider, you are required to notify us promptly.

Having only 8 campers each session gives us the ability to split larger groups and spread out campers to be socially distant. Fortunately, at this time of year the barn is open and airy, helping to not feel enclosed. It is suggested that campers should have their own helmet. Helmets can be purchased at our on-site store at a special Summer Camp discount. All campers should bring a mask to be worn in the barn. Campers are not expected to wear masks during riding. Masks will be available if anyone has forgotten theirs. Hand sanitizer is always available, along with soap and water.

Glen Grove Equestrian Center offers training for hunters and jumpers, as well as equitation and lower level dressage. Lessons are available on the flat and over jumps.

All new riders (beginner to advanced) are required to start with a half-hour private lesson for evaluation purposes.

Reservations are required in advance and we maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy. All scheduling and cancellations must be done via phone (847)966-8032.

Lessons may be paid for individually or with a pre-paid monthly card.

Riding lessons begin at age seven. When pony rides are open, children six and under can take a ride on weekends, Spring through Fall, weather permitting. Please give our office a call to check if pony rides are open.

Pony rides are located at the north west corner of our property, right at the corner of Harms and Golf.

$5 per time, advance reservations are not required.

We offer shared or full leases.

Please schedule a lesson so that our trainers can match you with the best horse for you!

Costs will vary based on how much you'd like to ride and the type of horse you're looking for.

We have 90 stalls sized 12' x 12' (heated in winter) or 10' x 10'. Turnout is included in board and typically provided five days per week, weather permitting. We utilize three paddocks and our large outdoor and heated indoor arenas.

Our staff and veterinarians work with boarders to create an appropriate nutrition plan for each horse. We can administer any supplement, wrap legs, hand-walk, or blanket, as needed. We manage appointments with farriers, veterinarians, chiropractor, dentist, etc. Grooming and service packages are available.

Horsemanship classes are individually customized

and scheduled for community groups

of all ages and backgrounds.

(For example, we welcome many Girl Scout troops.)

Horsemanship classes show a glimpse

of the day-to-day care of our horses, as well as

riding demonstrations, riding lessons, or pony rides.

Hiring is currently paused. We are happy to collect applications for future openings, but only for candidates experienced with horses.

Please share the type of position you are interested in (instructor, professional rider, barn help, front desk/store, etc.)
