GLEN GROVE EQUESTRIAN CENTER IS NOW LOCATED IN LAKE FOREST!

Our location offers easy access from downtown and the north shore; the closest lesson program to the city.
We are just 15 minutes north of our old location in Morton Grove. Our facility boasts multiple indoor and outdoor arenas and plenty of turnout space for our horses.

Lessons are currently open for existing clients only. If you are new to Glen Grove, please add yourself to our email list and follow us on facebook to be updated on future calendar openings. If you'd like to be added to our lesson waiting list, please call our office and leave a message including your contact info and reason for calling. If you are looking for more involvement in addition to lessons, please note if you are interested in sales, leasing/shareboarding, showing, etc.

LESSON INFO
Glen Grove Equestrian Center offers training for hunters and jumpers, as well as equitation and lower level dressage. Lessons are available on the flat and over jumps.
​
All new riders (beginner to advanced) are required to start with a half-hour private lesson for evaluation purposes.
​
Reservations are required in advance and we maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy. All scheduling and cancellations must be done via phone (847)966-8032.

LESSON PRICING
Effective October 1, 2023.
All lessons are billed quarterly.
​
There are four 13 week sessions per year. There is no charge for lessons in the final week in each quarter. Regular lesson time slot/s that week will serve as make-up if a week was missed earlier in the quarter. If no dates were missed, lessons during week 13 are a bonus! There will be no additional make-up lessons outside of week 13.

Riding lessons begin at age seven.
SHAREBOARD AND LEASING
We offer shared or full leases.
Please schedule a lesson so that our trainers can match you with the best horse for you!

Costs will vary based on how much you'd like to ride and the type of horse you're looking for.
BOARDING
Please call us to inquire about boarding availability. Turnout is included in board and typically provided five days per week, weather permitting. Our new facility offers multiple outdoor and heated indoor arenas as well as much more turnout space for our horses.

Our staff and veterinarians work with boarders to create an appropriate nutrition plan for each horse. We can administer any supplement, wrap legs, hand-walk, or blanket, as needed. We manage appointments with farriers, veterinarians, chiropractor, dentist, etc. Grooming and service packages are available.
COMMUNITY CLASSES
Large group classes are currently paused.
Horsemanship and Girl Scout classes are individually customized and scheduled for community groups of all ages and backgrounds.

These classes show a glimpse of the day-to-day care of our horses, as well as riding demonstrations,
riding lessons, or pony rides.
HORSE SHOWS AND CLINICS
Offered on-site or travel!
Glen Grove Equestrian Center offers both schooling shows and clinics on-site.
All levels of riders are welcome to participate, either with their own horse or one of ours.
Along with our sister barn, Messenger Hill Farm, Glen Grove also travels to shows, including locally at Ledges, Lamplight, or HITS, or joining MHF across the country at competitions such as the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida, shows in Tryon or Kentucky, and east coast Indoor Finals.
